ACT implements upgrade to enhance maritime cargo operations

Aqaba, July 17 (Petra) – The Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) announced the first of its two gantry cranes were dismantled after reaching end of their service life, as part of the ongoing operational modernization and development program at the container facility.

In a statement on Thursday, the ACT said the effort seeks to provide a “safe and efficient” work environment for partners and employees.

The ACT indicated that the crane removal represents a “strategic” investment in upgrading the container terminal’s infrastructure, “better” serving partners and contributing to the company’s position as a “sustainable gateway to Jordan, the Levant region, and beyond.”
