Amman, Aug. 5 (Petra) — The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a total trading volume of JD 8.9 million on Tuesday, with 5.6 million shares traded through 4,096 transactions.
The ASE general index closed at 2,891 points, marking a marginal increase of 0.01 percent.
Out of 102 companies traded, 37 posted gains, while 34 recorded losses.
By sector, the industrial index rose by 1.28 percent, the financial index fell by 0.38 percent, and the services index edged up by 0.05 percent.
