Oman Participates in Istanbul
International Arab Book Fair
Istanbul, 16 August 2026 (ONA) — Represented
by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Sultanate of Oman is taking
part in the 11th edition of Istanbul International Arab Book Fair,
which runs from 15 to 23 August.
Oman’s participation in the event
reflects its keenness to enhance Arab cultural presence and showcase the
features of the Omani cultural identity to a wide audience of intellectuals,
researchers, publishers and visitors from various countries of the world.
Through its pavilion, the Ministry
of Culture, Sports and Youth highlights a range of publications, programmes and
cultural initiatives that reflect the depth of the Omani cultural scene and
support efforts to spread to preserve cultural heritage and introduce it to new
generations.
This year’s exhibition takes the
slogan “The Story Continues”, which pertains to the continuity of the Arab
cultural resourcefulness and the importance of books as a source of knowledge
and human interaction.
The book fair showcases publications
from more than 30 countries and more than 300 publishing houses. It also features cultural
programmes on various literary spheres.
