Amman, Aug. 5 (Petra) – A responsible military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said Tuesday that the Southern Military Region, in coordination with Military Security and the Anti-Narcotics Department, intercepted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using two drones along the western border.
The source noted that Border Guard units detected the drones and applied the rules of engagement, successfully neutralizing both aircraft within Jordanian territory. The seized materials were transferred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
The source underscored that the Armed Forces will continue to confront all forms of infiltration and smuggling with decisive force, stressing that any attempt to compromise national security will be met with firm and immediate action.
