Ministry of Culture to Organize “Cultural
Initiatives Forum 2026” in Muscat

Muscat, 17 August 2026 (ONA) — The
third edition of the “Cultural Initiatives Forum 2026” will begin tomorrow (18 August
2026) in the Governorate of Muscat, under the slogan “Towards a
Sustainable Cultural Partnership”.

The event will be organized by the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth at Bait Al Zubair Museum. It will feature
50 cultural initiatives from different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The forum reflects the Ministry’s
efforts to activate the partnership between community institutions and the
public sector. It also aims to enhance the role of cultural initiatives in a way that
contributes to developing an institutional cultural scheme that benefits
society in a sustainable manner.

The programme of the event includes dialogue
sessions, panel discussions that bring together leaders of cultural initiatives, the review of case studies and practical experiences to explore the future of
cultural work, in addition to interactive workshops
that indicate how digital literacy can be used to develop and sustain the impact of cultural initiatives.

The event will also include a poetry
evening and a visit to a cultural facility in Muscat Governorate to offer
participants an opportunity to learn about cultural experiences and exchange
ideas and expertise.
