Amman, Aug. 6 (Petra) -Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a total trading volume of JD 8.8 million on Wednesday, with 5.7 million shares traded through 3,731 transactions.
The ASE general index closed at 2,898 points, up by 0.23 percent.
Out of 101 companies traded, 44 posted gains in share prices, while 26 recorded losses.
By sector, the financial index rose by 0.35 percent, the services index edged up by 0.05 percent, and the industrial index slipped by 0.01 percent.
