Amman, August 10 (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a phone call on Sunday, offered condolences to Lebanon President Gen. Joseph Aoun over the death of several Lebanese army personnel killed during the dismantling of a weapons depot in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.
According to a royal court statement, His Majesty expressed deepest sympathies to the bereaved families on behalf of the people and government of Jordan, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The King also emphasised Jordan’s support for Lebanon’s efforts to maintain security and stability, as well as the readiness of its army, according to the statement.
