ACI: Tender underway to build 33-dunum exhibition center in Amman 

Amman, August 10 (Petra) – Head of Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Fathi Jaghbir, said the chamber’s success in developing national industry requires all industrialists’ engagement in forging future plans and constantly following up the latest industrial sector’s devlopments.

During his meeting with investors from Sahab and Muwaqqar indutrial estates at Jordan Investors Association (JIA) headquarters, Jaghbir added that the chamber is “keen to build a complementary relations with the regional industrial associations.”

Jaghbir, who also head Jordan Chamber of Industry, praised the JIA’s role in following up on the industrialists’ issues in Sahab and Muwaqqar estates in coordination with the chamber’s administration.

On future plans, Jaghbir announced Amman Chamber of Industry will soon issue a tender for building the exhibition venues and business center project, which will be establsihed on an ACI-owned 33-dunum land on Airport Road.

The project’s initial bids were reviewed by the Jordan Engineers Association and will feature an exhibition venue, workshops, and conference halls, as well as a business complex equipped with the latest international standards, he pointed out.

Jaghbir also noted the industrial companies may participate in establishing the new project.

In turn, JIA Chairman, Mujahid Rajabi said the association, founded in 1991, houses the Sahab and Muwaqqar industrial estates and hosts approximately 600 factories with total investments exceeding JD6 billion, employing more than 26,000 workers.

The JIA, he noted, provides various services to its members, mainly training programs in cooperation with national institutions, and facilitate industrial transactions.

Rajabi also stated the JIA will allocate buses to transport workers and sign agreements with shipping, transportation, and consulting companies at competitive prices.
