
Amman, Aug. 11 (Petra) — The Food and Food Technology Exhibition will open on Tuesday at the Jordan International Exhibition Center in Mecca Mall, bringing together local, regional, and international companies in the food sector.
Now in its third edition, the three-day exhibition is organized by Nabd International for Exhibitions and Conferences, under the patronage of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), and in partnership with the General Association of Food Traders and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
More than a dozen countries will be represented, including China, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, India, Oman, Greece, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, alongside Jordanian producers.
Exhibitors will showcase a wide array of products, from processed and packaged meat to grains, legumes, nuts, juices, vegetable oils, and frozen fruits and vegetables. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
Al-Anoud Jarrar, General Manager of Nabd International, said the exhibition reflects the significant growth in Jordan’s food sector and highlights advancements in both locally manufactured and imported products. “This event not only showcases innovation in the food industry but also drives economic activity across tourism, transportation, hospitality, and retail,” she noted.
The exhibition aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, which identifies food industries and food security as high-value sectors crucial to innovation, sustainability, and self-sufficiency.
In addition to product displays, the program will feature specialized seminars and interactive workshops led by local and international experts, addressing the latest trends in food production, packaging technology, and food safety.
