Ramallah, August 13 (Petra) – Israeli extremist settlers shot down and killed a Palestinian on Wednesday in the town of Duma, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the victim as 35-year-old Thamin Dawabsheh, who succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during a settler attack on the town.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated another individual who was critically injured in the same incident. The organisation confirmed that settlers had opened fire on Palestinians in the southern part of the town, coinciding with ongoing land-leveling operations in the area.
According to the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Dawabsheh is the tenth Palestinian killed by settler gunfire this year, raising the total number of Palestinians killed by settlers to 30 since October 7, 2023.
Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids across various areas of the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club reported that troops stormed several homes, vandalised property and arrested 19 Palestinians, including former detainees, under the pretext that they were wanted.
