Amman, Aug. 14 (Petra) — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, met on Thursday with UAE Joint Operations Commander Major General Awad Saeed Al-Ahbabi to discuss expanding military cooperation and joint efforts in regional security.
The talks, held at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, covered ways to deepen coordination, share expertise, and strengthen readiness across multiple defense fields. Al-Huneiti noted the two armies’ continued collaboration in delivering humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza through joint airdrop operations.
Praising the close military ties as a reflection of the leaderships’ shared vision, Al-Huneiti said the partnership boosts integration and preparedness to face common challenges.
Al-Ahbabi lauded the Jordanian Armed Forces’ role in safeguarding regional stability and stressed the importance of building on the strategic partnership between the two militaries.
The meeting was attended by senior Jordanian officers, the Acting UAE Ambassador, and the UAE Military Attaché in Amman.
