
Amman, August 14 (Petra) –Deputizing for the Prime Minister, Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Adwan, attended a ceremony to honor pioneers of Jordan’s social responsibility activities.
Organized by the National Forum for Awareness and Development (NFAD), on Thursday at the Amman Youth House, the ceremony honored philanthropy leaders, who have left “a clear landmark in volunteer work and social responsibility fields.”
During the ceremony, Adwan said Jordan is “proud of pioneers who have made benevolence as a message and solidarity as a life path.”
Adwan noted recognition of philanthropy pioneers is an investment in the future and a clear message, adding that youth are its driving force and its renewed support.
“The honored models prove that benevolence knows no boundaries and is not tied to position or status, but rather is based on sincere will and a genuine desire to serve the nation,” he pointed out.
On Royal vision in this field, he stated His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II always underline importance of volunteer work and the need to promote its culture socially, given its “pivotal” role in serving the nation and developing its human resources.
Additionally, he noted volunteer work represents a “key” pillar in building a cohesive society and embodies youth’s awareness and sense of allegiance to their nation’s issues.
