
Amman, August 15 (Petra)– The Jordan New Agency (Petra) is hosting a delegation from news agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations in order to share knowledge and experiences.
In collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the delegation’s visit, which is scheduled to conclude on Monday, is a component of a program that will exchange visits between editors, photographers, and technicians from Petra and Gulf news agencies.
The mission comprises press agencies from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as personnel from the Gulf Cooperation Council’s General Secretariat.
The purpose of the visit is to develop a network of connections between journalists and editors on both sides, exchange information and experience, and strengthen media cooperation and fraternal ties between Petra and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.
15 journalists and technicians from Gulf news agencies are participating in the tour program, which includes meetings with Government Communication Minister Mohammad Al-Momani, the Jordan Chamber of Industry, the Jordan Tourism Board, the Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra). It also includes a visit to the Jordan Television Museum and tours of Ajloun, Jerash, and Salt.
The program seeks to expand media collaboration in a variety of areas, including regional and worldwide coordination, the use of artificial intelligence in news agency processing, and sharing experiences in the fight against fake news.
