Issues Commemorative Silver Coin Highlighting Oman Vision 2040

Muscat,
18 Aug (ONA) — The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) announced the issuance of a
commemorative silver coin highlighting Oman Vision 2040, embodying the
Sultanate of Oman’s aspirations for comprehensive development and a sustainable
economy under a wise leadership and a promising future vision.

The
coin features a unique design that reflects the national identity. The obverse
side bears the emblem of the Sultanate of Oman (the Khanjar), the name of the
nation, the name of the CBO, the denomination in both Arabic and English, and
the year of minting. The reverse side depicts a colored Oman Vision 2040 logo,
along with elements inspired by the visual identity of the Vision.

This
issuance is part of the Central Bank of Oman’s efforts to commemorate
significant national milestones and raise awareness of the objectives of Oman
Vision 2040, which serves as a national framework for achieving progress and
sustainable prosperity.

It
is worth noting that these commemorative coins are legal tenders at their face
value and can be purchased from the Central Bank of Oman (Ruwi – Salalah –
Sohar) or through Oman Post’s sales window at the Opera Galleria starting from 18
August 2025.
