Amman, Aug 20 (Petra) – A Heart Failure (HF) Patient Follow-up Clinic was established at Al Bashir Hospital’s Surgical and Specialized Cardiology Clinics building, offering service to about 520 patients two days a week.

The clinic operates under the supervision of a cardiologist, supported by a clinical pharmacist to monitor patients’ medications, the public hospital said in a statement.

It conducts periodic laboratory tests to ensure optimal medication use, whether by adding new medications or discontinuing others, according to the patient’s health condition, and heart muscle effort is also monitored to enhance treatment efficiency and improve health outcomes, added the statement.

The new clinic will contribute to a reduction in patient admissions to hospital wards and improve their quality of life through accurate and continuous monitoring, it said.

Director of Al Bashir Hospital, Ali Abdallat, inspected the clinic for a first-hand look at its readiness and flow of work, pledging the management’s commitment to developing and sustaining health services to the public.
