Amman, August 26 (Petra) – Social Security Corporation (SSC) allocated 562 natural-death survivors’ pensions during the first six months of this year, bringing the cumulative number until the end of last June to 26,605 beneficiaries.
On eligibility creiteria, the SSC said this pension disbursement requires the deceased person’s payment of minimum 24 subscriptions to the corporation, including 6 consecutive contributions, adding that death must occur during the individual’s actual and active subscription period.
In a statement on Tuesday, the SSC added that eligible survivors receive the pension, effective from the beginning of the month in which the death occurs.
The SSC said a funeral grant of JD700 is also disbursed to the entitled family members.
