10 Palestinians Die of Man-made Starvation, Malnutrition within 24 Hours in GazaGaza, 27 Aug (ONA) — Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced the deaths of 10 Palestinians, including two children, within the past 24 hours due to the Israeli man-made starvation and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip.
This brings the total number of the starvation-related fatalities to 313, including 119 children.
The ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, due to the Israeli brutal blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies. The severe man-made famine is intertwined with the genocidal war waged by Israel since 7 October 2023.
Since 2 March 2025, the Israeli occupying authorities sealed off all crossings with the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of most food and medical aid, further accelerating the spread of famine across the territory.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) warned that malnutrition among children under five doubled between March and June as a result of the ongoing blockade.
The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached alarming levels, with nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffering from acute malnutrition.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including deliberate killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.— Ends/Khalid
