Amman, Sept 3 (Petra) – Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto expressed his conviction that the Israeli Defense Forces’ strike on United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) personnel constitutes a “serious and grave act.”
In remarks to Il Foglio newspaper on Wednesday, Crosetto emphasized that the attack differs from previous incidents, as it was not accidental nor carried out without the Israeli army’s intent. According to UNIFIL, it was a “deliberate” action.
UNIFIL reported that Israeli drones dropped four explosives near peacekeeping forces yesterday morning while they were clearing obstacles that hindered access to a UN site near the Blue Line.
