Baqa’a, Sept. 5 (Petra)– Ibrahim Al-Rawashdeh, the Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Research (NCAR), stressed the need of turning scientific research results into innovative projects during his meeting with research center directors yesterday.
In accordance with the National Plan for Sustainable Development and the Economic Modernization Vision, he underlined the significance of expediting the implementation of research projects that assist small farmers, support the agricultural sector, and advance agricultural operations.
In accordance with the next phase’s aims, Al-Rawashdeh emphasized the necessity of connecting the results of scientific research to real-world applications by embracing plant species and types that improve food security and lower malnutrition.
Additionally, he urged researchers to adopt creative and original concepts and turn them into research initiatives that might solve environmental and climate change. He pointed out that funding scientific research is the real method to advance the agriculture industry.
The research institutions’ directors, for their part, stressed that these actions are a reflection of the country’s goal to elevate scientific research to the rank of a vital pillar for the advancement of Jordan’s agricultural industry.
