OIA Launches Employment-Linked Legal
Specializations Programme
Muscat, 9 Sep (ONA) — Oman
Investment Authority (OIA) has launched a new legal specialization track, termed
“Mutamad” (or Accredited), for employment-linked training.
The programme is in pursuance of
earlier programmes launched by the OIA in the fields of finance, accounting and
cybersecurity. It reflects the OIA’s drive to develop the skills of Omani
graduates and prepare them to join the labour market.
The programme seeks to hone the skills of
fresh graduates and assist them to obtain the International Professional Bar
Qualification Certificate accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (of
Britain). The programme’s entry criteria include two sets of tests (oral and
written) to assess the candidates’ practical legal knowledge.
According to the OIA, the requirements
for joining the programme include Bachelor’s degree in law with a cumulative Grade
Point Average (GPA) of not less than 2.7 for graduates who obtained
their qualifications in years 2023, 2024 and 2025).
Registration to the programme will
be open until 29 September 2025, after which those who meet the requirements will
proceed to the written tests and personal interviews.
