Baghdad, Sept 10 (Petra) – The 26th Baghdad International Book Fair opened Wednesday in the Iraqi capital, featuring broad participation from local and Arab publishing houses, including several Jordanian publishers showcasing their latest literary, intellectual, and scientific works, alongside publications by Jordanian and Arab authors.
Fadel Al-Badrani, Cultural Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, told Petra that Jordan’s participation reflected the value of its rich publications, contributing to the enrichment of the cultural scene and strengthening bridges of communication between intellectuals in Iraq and Jordan.
Al-Badrani noted that the fair includes 349 publishing houses from around the world, making it a leading cultural and civilizational platform.
Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq Maher Tarawneh toured the Jordanian pavilions and met with their representatives, praising the quality and distinguished presence of Jordanian participation at this prominent cultural event.
