Amman, Sep. 11 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs on Thursday confirmed the release of Jordanian citizen Lana Shukri Kataw, Deputy Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) office in Sana’a, Yemen, and her return to the Kingdom.
Ministry spokesperson Fuad Majali said that the ministry closely followed the case from the moment of Kataw’s detention through the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, coordinating with relevant Jordanian authorities to secure her prompt release and safe return.
Majali said that these efforts successfully resulted in Kataw’s release, and she is now on her way back to Jordan.
