Amman, September 15 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Monday welcomed the ambassadors of Australia, Sweden, and France at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF).
In separate meetings attended by senior JAF officers and military attachés, they looked into prospects of enhancing joint military and security cooperation and exchanging expertise.
Huneiti and Swedish Ambassador Maria Sargren reviewed security cooperation and regional and international issues of common interest.
In the encounter with French Ambassador Franck Gellet, Huneiti highlighted the strong Franco-Jordanian relations and close military cooperation in a manner to enhance regional security and stability.
The meeting with Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch tackled developing military cooperation, especially in training and expertise exchange, underlining the strong relations between the two countries.
The diplomats commended Jordan’s pivotal role under His Majesty King Abdullah II in promoting peace and stability, and noted JAF’s humanitarian and medical contributions.
