BAU Achieves 5-Star Rating in Global QS Evaluation

Al-Salt, Sept. 16 (Petra) — Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) has earned international recognition after receiving a five-star rating in three key categories, education, governance, and environmental impact, under the prestigious QS Stars global rating system by the UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

In its first participation in the global assessment, the university also secured an overall four-star rating, in addition to four stars in infrastructure, research, graduate employability, and diversity and inclusion.

The achievement underscores the institution’s commitment to delivering a well-rounded educational environment that prepares students for the labor market while upholding values of equity and inclusivity.

The QS Stars framework is regarded as one of the world’s most comprehensive academic evaluation systems. It measures universities’ performance across a wide range of benchmarks, including teaching quality, research output, employability, governance, sustainability, and facilities, highlighting their strengths on the global stage.

University President Ahmed Al-Ajlouni hailed the recognition as a reflection of the university’s advanced academic standing and its alignment with international standards. He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and students, whose teamwork has driven the university closer to global excellence.

Al-Ajlouni affirmed that the university will continue to advance its strategic plans with a focus on applied research, innovation, and sustainability through the “green university” concept. He emphasized the institution’s national role in community service and in fostering international partnerships that enhance the global competitiveness of its graduates.
