Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi on Tuesday began a visit to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Safadi is scheduled to meet with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, and later take part in a trilateral meeting with Al-Shaibani and Thomas Barrack, U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye and Special Envoy for Syria, to discuss the situation in Syria.
The visit builds on earlier talks hosted in Amman on July 19, 2025, and August 12, 2025, which focused on consolidating the ceasefire in southern Syria’s As-Suwayda Governorate and addressing the crisis there.
