Gaza, Sept. 22 (Petra) – The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that Al-Rantisi Pediatric Hospital and the Eye Hospital have been forced to suspend operations due to continued Israeli targeting of areas surrounding the facilities, in addition to the destruction of the Medical Relief Center in Gaza City.
The ministry said in a statement that the Israeli occupation is deliberately and systematically targeting the health services system in Gaza as part of a broader policy of collective punishment against the enclave.
It added that all roads leading to hospitals are unsafe or destroyed, making access for patients extremely difficult, and called on relevant international bodies to provide protection for medical institutions and healthcare personnel.
