Amman, September 24 (Petra) – Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lieutenant General Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday opened the second scientific conference of the Royal Maintenance Corps, held under the theme “Technical Education in Jordan: Towards a National Strategic Educational Integration.”
The conference aims to enhance the readiness and professionalism of the Jordan Armed Forces by advancing technical education and vocational training in response to evolving regional and international challenges.
Speakers discussed the strategic importance of technical education in national development in the two-day event.
Officials from leading Jordanian universities including the University of Jordan, Al-Balqa Applied University, and Hussein Bin Talal University urged collaboration between academia and the military to modernise curricula, improve graduate outcomes and align education with labour market demands.
Huneiti toured the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Military Technical College, the host of the event, laboratories and exhibition, reviewing projects and technologies developed to support military field operations.
The conference brought together senior military officers and university leaders, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange and the professional development of engineers and technicians in the Armed Forces.
