ACC delegation visits Morocco to enhance agricultural cooperation 

Amman, Sep.28 (Petra) – A delegation from Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC), headed by its Director General, Mohamed Doujan, visited Morocco as part of strengthening joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in the agricultural development and rural finance fields.

The delegation began its program with a visit to the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests in the capital, Rabat.

According to an ACC statement Sunday, the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in supporting farmers, financing agricultural projects, and exchanging expertise in the relevant digital transformation fields, highlighting Jordan’s experience in agri-lending and the ACC’s corporation’s financing programs.

In a visit to headquarters of Agricultural Bank of Morocco (Credit Agricole du Maroc), the delegation held an expanded meeting with the group’s senior management.

The statement said discussions reviewed Morocco’s experience in developing a series of financing products targeting farmers and the agricultural sector, as well as presenting digital transformation systems and e- banking services that enable “wider access to financing in rural areas.”

On their side, the Jordanian delegations praised the “pioneering” Moroccan experience, which constitutes a “model to in supporting agriculture and rural development.”

During a meeting with representatives of the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture and Rural Development (COMADER), the Jordanian side discussed cooperation areas with the Moroccan private agricultural sector.

Both sides also went over ways to build partnerships between Jordanian farmers and their Moroccan counterparts, open new horizons for exchanging expertise and increase agricultural marketing opportunities.
