Oman,
Bulgaria Discuss Means of Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation
Muscat,
30 Sep (ONA) — The first round of Political Consultations Session between the
Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Bulgaria was held in Muscat today.
The
Omani side was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the
Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while the Bulgarian side was led by Maria
Anguelieva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The
session reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the two friendly
countries and affirmed the keenness of both sides to continue developing
cooperation in various fields.
The
two sides discussed the possibility of exchanging the opening of embassies in
both countries. They also addressed a number of regional and international
issues of mutual interest, including the repercussions of the Israeli war on
Gaza.
The
session was attended by Mundhir Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of the Europe
Department at the Foreign Ministry, Todor Stoyanov, Director General for
Bilateral Relations at the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number
of officials from both sides.
