Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – The number of newly registered companies in Jordan rose by 20 percent in the first nine months of 2025 compared with the same period last year, according to data from the Companies Control Department.
A total of 5,636 companies were registered between January and September, up from 4,715 during the corresponding period in 2024.
The combined registered capital of these companies reached JD323 million, with limited liability companies making up the majority. A total of 4,078 such firms were established, accounting for 72.4 percent of the registered capital, or more than JD104 million.
The number of companies dissolved or de-registered fell by 33 percent year-on-year, with 901 closures compared to 1,343 in 2024.
Meanwhile, net capital increases surged by 148 percent, as 1,300 companies raised their capital by a combined JD1.16 billion. In contrast, 203 firms reduced their capital by nearly JD194 million.
