Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – The Public Security Directorate (PSD)’s Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers, in cooperation with several public and private sector partners, on Wednesday launched a marketing campaign titled “Second Chance with a New Spirit” at King Hussein Club in Jabal Amman, unveiling the new marketing identity of the “Made with Determination” project.
The project, the first of its kind worldwide, serves as a digital business incubator inside correctional facilities, showcasing and selling inmates’ products through an online platform.
The initiative builds on the PSD’s reform strategy, which focuses on developing correctional approaches and strengthening partnerships with national and civil institutions.
The campaign aims to promote inmates’ handicrafts and products, providing them with income-generating opportunities and preparing them for positive reintegration into society after serving their sentences.
The event was attended by representatives of government and international partner institutions, alongside media professionals and marketing experts.
The campaign also introduced new product designs and announced plans to expand vocational and technical training programs for inmates while developing the online sales platform [https://eshop.psd.gov.jo] to reach global markets.
In collaboration with Jordan Post, the Innovation Network for Capacity Development, Mawjwd for Marketing, Khutwa Impact, and Craftes Market, the launch event featured an exhibition of inmates’ diverse handmade products, artworks, and creative pieces.
