JFDA Teams Seize 65 Cans of Adulterated Olive Oil in Irbid

Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) – The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) inspection teams, in cooperation with the Royal Department for Environment Protection, have seized 65 cans of adulterated olive oil in Irbid Governorate.

In a statement on Wednesday, the JFDA said the operation was part of intensified inspection campaigns carried out by its branches across the Kingdom to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for the current olive oil season.

The seized quantity has been placed under custody pending destruction in line with legal procedures, while those responsible have been referred to the judiciary for prosecution.

The JFDA urged citizens to purchase olive oil only from trusted and accredited sources and called on the public to report any concerns, complaints, or inquiries through its toll-free hotline 117114, email at [[email protected]], or via WhatsApp at (0795632000).
