Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) — Jordan has launched its national pavilion at Anuga 2025, one of the world’s leading food and beverage trade fairs, currently taking place in Cologne, Germany. The pavilion was inaugurated by Mohammad Jitan, representative of the food, supply, agricultural, and livestock industries sector at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, with participation from around 20 Jordanian food companies.
Jitan highlighted that Jordan’s growing international presence in the food industry is a testament to the high quality and innovation of its products. He noted that joining global platforms like Anuga not only reflects the professionalism of Jordanian manufacturers but also helps position Jordan as a competitive player in the global market.
He stressed that this participation is part of a broader national effort to expand export opportunities and tap into new markets across continents. Events like Anuga provide a crucial gateway for forging international partnerships, staying ahead of industry trends, and showcasing the evolution of Jordan’s food production capabilities.
Jitan added that the food sector has been Jordan’s fastest-growing industrial export category over the past five years, driven by effective global marketing strategies and continued involvement in high-profile expos such as Anuga and Gulfood.
These platforms have helped increase visibility and demand for Jordanian products in Europe, the Arab region, and Africa.
He concluded by affirming that such international engagements are central to the Chamber’s vision of boosting the global competitiveness of Jordanian industries, especially the food sector, which holds strong potential for growth, investment, and market expansion.
