No Place is Safe for Children in Gaza: UNRWA Gaza, 7 Oct (ONA) — The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that Gaza is home to one million children yet no place is safe, noting that Israeli occupation forces killed children in Gaza while they slept. UNRWA confirmed on X platform that it provided psychological support to more than half a million children in Gaza who suffered significant psychological trauma and witnessed things no child should ever experience. The UN organization noted that the Israeli occupation killed children in Gaza while they were sleeping, sheltering in schools, queuing for water, or seeking medical help. Earlier, UNICEF spokesman James Elder confirmed that Gaza still contains tens of thousands of children, including those who lost limbs as a result of the bombing. He noted that children are shuddering under the relentlessness of airstrikes, adding, “the logic imposed on children is both brutal and contradictory.” He pointed out that the Al-Mawasi area in Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas in the world and is deprived of the most basic necessities of life, which increases the suffering of the children and families who have sought refuge there.— Ends/Khalid
