Amman, Oct. 9 (Petra) – Minister of Transport Nidal Qatamin visited the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) on Thursday, where he met with the Commission’s Chairperson, Dhaifallah Farajat, Commissioners, and several directors.
Qatamin underscored the importance of strengthening air navigation safety and security standards and operational procedures. He also called for expediting the implementation of projects under the Economic Modernization Vision and adopting a forward-looking approach that accounts for rapid technological developments in the aviation sector, particularly in drones and modern air transport systems.
Qatamin urged the promotion of investment and the facilitation of future airport expansion projects, stressing the need for a comprehensive strategic vision for airspace policy and international agreements.
He emphasized the importance of supporting operators to enhance the efficiency of national airports, making them attractive hubs for air traffic and ground operations, while continuing to train and qualify human resources and upgrade air navigation systems to align with the latest global technologies.
