FM, Portuguese counterpart discuss ties, region 

Amman, Oct. 10 (Petra)– In a phone conversation with Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi discussed several bilateral topics as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cordial ties and increase collaboration between the two nations.

The two ministers also talked about the situation in Gaza after the ceasefire deal. In order to achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution, they emphasized the necessity of putting the agreement into action, ensuring sufficient and prompt humanitarian access to the Strip, and starting an efficient political process.

The two ministers underlined how important US President Donald Trump was to the agreement’s success. They also commended Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt for their efforts.

Additionally, Safadi and Rangel reaffirmed their mutual resolve to strengthen bilateral collaboration across a range of domains.
