Gold Edges Lower as Investors Take Profits After Record HighSingapore, 21 Oct (ONA) — Gold prices fell today as investors took profits after the precious metal hit a new record high in the previous session, supported by strong safe-haven demand and rising expectations of an imminent interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve. Spot gold declined 0.3% to $4,340.99 per ounce, after reaching an all-time high of $4,381.21 on Monday. US gold futures for December delivery settled at $4,357.80 per ounce.
