Kenya Hold First Round of Political Consultations
Muscat,
4 Nov (ONA) — The first round of Political Consultations session between the
Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Kenya was held today in Muscat.
The
Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign
Ministry for Political Affairs, and the Kenyan side was headed by Dr. Abraham
Korir Sing’Oei, Principal Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora
Affairs.
During
the session, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed. The
two sides reviewed available opportunities for trade and investment exchanges
and ways to cooperate in utilizing them, in addition to addressing a number of
regional issues of mutual interest.
The
session was attended from the Omani side by Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Balushi, Head
of the Africa Department at the Foreign Ministry. It was also attended from the
Kenyan side by Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, Principal Secretary at the State
Department for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Investments, Trade and
Industry, Shadrack Mwadime, Principal Secretary for Labour and Skills
Development Abdi Adan Korio, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the
Sultanate of Oman.
