Cairo,
10 Nov (ONA) — The First Egyptian-Gulf Trade and Investment Forum, held today
in Cairo under the slogan “A Roadmap towards Enhancing Egyptian-Gulf
Economic Cooperation”, and in which the Sultanate of Oman is
participating, affirmed the importance of deepening economic partnerships and
capitalizing on available investment opportunities.
The
opening of the forum was held under the auspices of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime
Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The
forum included extensive discussions on developmental projects and future
investment opportunities, alongside direct meetings between the public and private
sectors and bilateral business meetings that help enhance cooperation and
develop joint opportunities.
The
forum hosted a main ministerial session which addressed the future of trade and
investment relations and prospects for economic development between the two
sides. The session reviewed efforts made to improve the business environment,
facilitate investment movement, and enhance the roles of both the public and
private sectors in supporting economic growth and providing quality
opportunities for investors.
The
dialogue sessions also focused on reading the reality of the Gulf and Egyptian
markets, discussing mechanisms to overcome challenges related to financing and
regulatory procedures, and identifying priorities for future joint cooperation.
The
forum also included B2B meetings between Egyptian businessmen and their
counterparts from the GCC States and an exhibition of investment opportunities
in various economic sectors in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The
forum’s program for tomorrow includes field visits to a number of
administrative and economic cities, ports, and economic projects in the Arab
Republic of Egypt.
Through
its participation in the forum, the Sultanate of Oman seeks to expand its
presence in regional and international economic events, due to their
contribution to enhancing communication within the business community,
highlighting promising investment opportunities, exchanging successful
experiences, and building partnerships that support economic growth and achieve
Gulf and Arab trade and investment integration.

forum was attended by a number of ministers, undersecretaries, and a gathering
of decision-makers and officials from the GCC States and the Arab Republic of
