Wins Two World Cups at FIAP Youth Biennial in Manama
Manama,
11 Nov (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman was crowned with two World Cups for digital
photography in the Youth Under 16 category with 402 points, and the Youth Under
25 category with 348 points during the 42nd FIAP Youth Biennial.
This
edition of the Biennial, organized by the International Federation of Photographic
Art, is hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On
the individual level, the photographers achieved excellent results in the Youth
Under 16 category, where: Amir bin Mohsin Al Hajri won the FIAP Silver Medal, Layan
bint Sultan Al Batashi and Yassin bin Mohsin Al Hajri won the Bronze Medal.
Meanwhile, Wahab bin Ibrahim Al Kindi won the FIAP Silver Medal in the Youth
Under 25 category.
This
victory is a national achievement added to the Sultanate of Oman’s record of
successes in international forums, and reflects the advanced artistic level
reached by Omani photographers in the art of photography.
This
win reaffirms the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth’s commitment to
supporting photographers and encouraging them to showcase their talents and
artistic creativity, through participation in international competitions and
forums that contribute to enhancing the global presence of Omani youth.
