Riyada Organizes Dialogue Session on SMEs Opportunities, Challenges
Muscat, 16 Nov 2025 (ONA) — The SMEs
Development Authority (Riyada) today organized the 17th dialogue session titled
“Opportunities and Challenges for Small and Medium Enterprises”.
The session seeks to enhance the
role of SMEs in discussing major opportunities and challenges, notably by introducing innovative ideas, improving operational efficiency and encouraging
partnerships and cooperation between government departments, private sector establishments and SMEs.
The session covered common policies and
legislation, licenses and enablers supporting SMEs. It was held as part of Riyada’s
efforts to liaise with the departments concerned and improve the business
environment for SMEs.
The session was attended by Dr.
Mahad Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour, Halima Rashid
Al Zar’ee, Chairperson of Riyada, representatives of the parties concerned and owners of SMEs.
