17 Nov 2025 (ONA) — The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment
Promotion held an expanded meeting today with entrepreneurs in the used car
sales sector, chaired by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce,
Industry and Investment Promotion.
This
meeting is a continuation of a series of previous meetings held by the Ministry
to discuss the challenges facing showroom owners, follow up on the
implementation of recommendations, and review the steps taken to improve the
business environment of this vital sector.
During
the meeting, the latest developments related to the mechanisms for regulating
the used car sales activity were reviewed. Discussions also covered
facilitating licensing and operation procedures, enhancing partnership between
showroom owners and government entities, and discussing proposals to develop
the market and provide supporting services that contribute to raising the
quality of services provided to consumers.
