Amman, Dec. 2 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, Mazen Qadi, received Bulgarian Ambassador, Metin Kazak, on Tuesday to discuss issues of mutual interest, with a focus on parliamentary relations and regional security.
During the meeting, Qadi underscored the strength of Jordan-Bulgaria relations and the importance of expanding cooperation across all sectors, including creating opportunities for mutual investment, facilitated by the supportive business environment in both countries.
The Speaker reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to regional security and stability. He emphasized the Kingdom’s support for a two-state solution as the pathway to ending years of tension and conflicts in the region.
Qadi and Kazak also reviewed the outcomes of His Majesty’s visit to Sofia earlier this year and highlighted the significance of Bulgaria hosting the Aqaba Meetings initiative in partnership with Jordan, aimed at combating terrorism comprehensively.
Kazak praised Jordan’s role under His Majesty’s leadership in addressing regional challenges, promoting security and stability, and advancing peaceful resolutions to crises.
He expressed his country’s support for the two-state solution and commended the King’s moderation and wise stances in international forums, as well as Jordan’s humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
