Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra) — Jordan won two awards at the 49th Conference of Arab Police and Security Leaders, which opened Wednesday in Tunis under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and was inaugurated by Tunisian Interior Minister Khaled Nouri.
During the opening session, awards were presented to the winners of the awareness film competition. The Ministry of Interior received the award for Best Film on the Importance of Volunteering in Crime Prevention and jointly won the award for Best Film on the Use and Security of Artificial Intelligence Applications alongside the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior.
Secretary-General of the Council Mohammed bin Ali Koman said the conference discussed emerging trends and threats linked to synthetic drugs, adding that coordination is underway with the Arab League to establish the Arab Drug Observatory.
