Gold Edges Up on Fed Policy Easing HopesSingapore, 8 Dec 2025 (ONA) — Gold prices edged higher today, supported by growing bets that the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this week, a move that would add further pressure on the dollar and enhance the appeal of the non-yielding metal. Spot gold rose about 0.3% to $4,206.99 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.2% to $4,236.30 per ounce.
