Ramallah, Dec. 10 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces arrested 100 Palestinians in a series of raids and incursions carried out Wednesday across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank.
According to its statement, Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the raids included Nablus, Salfit, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Jericho, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
In a related development, the Israeli army uprooted hundreds of olive trees in the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus, over the past three days, amid the Israeli occupation government’s acceleration of its policy of expanding settlements and confiscating land in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem through Bab Al Maghariba, under heavy protection from Israeli police forces.
The Jordan-run Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem reported groups of settlers conducted provocative tours inside the mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals under strict military guard.
