Amman, Dec. 11 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Thursday received the German Chief of Defense, General Carsten Breuer, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces.
The meeting addressed mechanisms to enhance military cooperation, expand the exchange of expertise, and advance joint training and qualification programs between the two armies, particularly in defense industries, in support of strengthening operational and technical capabilities.
Huneiti and the delegation were briefed on ongoing modernization and development programs within the Jordan Armed Forces, implemented in line with regional developments.
He stressed the importance of the partnership between the Jordanian and German armies, noting the Jordan Armed Forces’ commitment to broadening cooperation and coordination across various fields to further enhance readiness.
For his part, Breuer expressed his hope for deeper cooperation and joint coordination, commending the humanitarian efforts of the Jordan Armed Forces and affirming Germany’s commitment to advancing military cooperation between the two countries.
