KARAK, Jordan (Reuters) – The Director of the Education Directorate for the Al-Mazar al-Janubi District, Ali Al-Fuqara, in coordination with the District Governor, Ali Al-Heissa, decided on Wednesday evening to delay the start of school for students on Thursday in public and private schools affiliated with the directorate until 10:00 a.m., while directorate staff will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Al-Fuqara explained that this decision comes in light of the prevailing weather conditions and the possibility of frost and freezing in the early morning hours, in order to maintain the safety of students and the administrative and teaching staff.
