Abu Dhabi, 24 Dec 2025 (ONA) — The
United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lauded the efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman
in hosting and facilitating the negotiations that culminated in the signing of the
agreement to exchange prisoners and detainees in Yemen, according to a
statement issued today.
The UAE also commended the
cooperation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and valued the significant role of
the Office of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen and the International Committee of
the Red Cross.
The UAE added that this humanitarian
agreement constitutes a step forward in building confidence, furnishing conditions
for peace, alleviating human suffering and backing efforts to support stability
in Yemen and the region at large.
