Amman, Dec. 29 (Petra) – The Ministry of Agriculture announced Monday the availability of fruit and forest tree seedlings at subsidized prices for farmers and citizens, as part of efforts to expand agricultural activity and make use of the current rainy season.
In a statement, the Ministry said applications to purchase seedlings can be submitted electronically through its official website, with collection available at the nearest agricultural station or at Ministry-run nurseries across the Kingdom’s governorates.
The Ministry called on farmers and citizens to take advantage of favorable weather conditions to expand the cultivation of fruit and forest trees, in addition to field crops, citing their role in increasing green spaces and promoting environmental sustainability.
It noted that such practices help preserve soil, improve soil fertility, rationalize water use, and increase agricultural production, contributing positively to the agricultural sector and supporting farmers nationwide.
